Groundbait can make or break a session. When effective ground baits are used, fish can be drawn quickly into the area and be kept there for long periods hunting out food. This is when they are most vulnerable, there is a large food signal in the area but very little in the way of bait, perfect! The fish will be in feeding mode so hookbaits are located quickly and taken with confidence, the greed instinct overcoming any wariness they may have.

Being different offers the fish a new option, and big fish of all species will often be the first to investigate a new smell in the water. They get big because they`re good at exploiting new food sources!
